Why Elevate Kids?

In our quest to raise money to help elevate kids, we have set a new 2022 challenge. We are currently training to break the FKT (Fastest Known Time) record for completing the Colorado Trail. That means we will attempt to finish the 490-mile trail in seven days. Follow our journey and join us in supporting the kids.

Great Causes by Great organizations

In the summer of 2020, we (Doug and Melinda McCaw) ran the 490-mile Colorado Trail from Denver, through the Rocky Mountains, to Durango, Colorado, in 18 days. Why? To raise money for several kid-focused charities in the Grand Valley area of Western Colorado. The response was so inspiring that we a non-profit organization called Elevate Kids. And this year, we are training to continue to raise awareness and funds for charities that help elevate kids. Follow us as we attempt to beat the FKT (Fastest Known Time) by completing the Trail in seven days. And join our cause by generously supporting these organizations and their efforts to help kids in the Grand Valley.

Our fundraising efforts are for the following two organizations
