Training Ride – May 31, 2020

This morning I woke up tired from yesterday's ride. I was motivated to get out for my training ride but not moving very fast. I finally got out on my ride at 6 am. The weather was perfect today. It was 72 degrees and a bit windy. I was motivated to get my ride done in 3-3.5 hours and my gaol was to ride 20 miles.

Even though I was riding on tired legs I made my goal. It was really windy up on the ridges at Lunch Loops and I had to fight against the wind to move forward. At a couple of points in the ride at Lunch Loops it was so windy that I had to stop riding in order to stay upright and not fall off of my bike. Finally I got off the ridge and headed home.

By the time I got back to the Secret Stash trails I was tired and getting the last 2 miles on dirt was a struggle and mind over matter to finish. I was happy to get home and off of the bike today.

Can't wait to be running again! I love biking but am ready for a break from it.
